Ontario Landlord Tools for Sudbury

Tenant Trust is based in Sudbury and manages rentals across the city and Greater Sudbury. These free tools run the same Ontario rules we apply for our clients — the 2026 and 2027 rent-increase guidelines, LTB notice periods, deposits, and the Standard Lease.

Sudbury landlords deal with the same provincial rules as Toronto — but the stakes feel different on a duplex or triplex in Minnow Lake, the Donovan, New Sudbury, or Valley East. A missed notice deadline costs a whole year of an increase, and an LTB delay is a delay wherever you are. Start with the calculators below.

Yes. The guideline is province-wide: 2.1% for 2026 and 1.9% for 2027. It caps increases on units first occupied before Nov 15, 2018. Units first occupied after that date are generally exempt and use Form N2.

The LTB serves Northern Ontario and most hearings are now held by video or phone. You don't need to travel to file — applications can be filed online. Confirm current hearing formats on the LTB site before relying on any location.

Do you manage rentals in Sudbury?
